Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Milagros, I had the pleasure of exploring the culinary offerings of its restaurant. As a seasoned mountaineer and eco-tourism advocate, I often find myself in search of authentic food experiences that reflect the local culture. The extensive menu featured a selection of characteristic Cantabrian dishes, showcasing regional ingredients. It was an unexpected delight to dive into flavors that I wouldn’t typically attempt but ended up thoroughly enjoying. I decided to try their daily set menu, which featured innovative combinations that challenged my palate. A standout was the seafood dish, perfectly highlighting the fresh catch from the nearby coast. Each bite transported me to the heart of Cantabria—a beautiful experience through food. Breakfast provided another opportunity to savor local tastes, with a wide selection of fruits, hot options, and pastries. I appreciated the attention to detail, and it reminded me of the warm hospitality found in the lodges and teahouses of the Himalayas. Milagros offered a serene environment with culinary experiences that I can recommend to fellow food enthusiasts. It certainly added a memorable chapter to my travels while enjoying the coastal charm of the area.
